I'm in Marfa with friends for Memorial weekend! It was a nice 6 hour drive west of San Antonio on IH-10. Last night we had a wonderful dinner and then coffee at El Paisano Hotel. The weather is awesome...it was 60 degrees F!!! I actually needed a light jacket. The part of Texas that I'm used to is blazing hot. Next to do list today is to visit all the cute art galleries and cafes around here. I've already eyed a few. Then Marfa lights. Then Chinati Foundation. Then the McDonald Observatory. Then....

ChickRocks at Cappyccino's

ChickRocks has a photography exhibition at Cappyccino's on Broadway in Alamo Heights beginning June 1st. For 6 weeks at a time, Cappyccino's features a regional photographer. I'm so excited by this invitation and I hope that you can stop by the restaurant during June to mid-July.

ChickRocks has been extremely busy these last few weeks with the 2 Art Fairs in San Antonio. I was honored to be at the Fiesta Arts Fair with my photography. The following week, I was at the King William's Fair and it was a blast!!! I've finally gotten around to photographing all my jewelry and have begun uploading items to my Etsy shop. And.....after 2 big shows I now have a BIG SALE in my shop till May 12th. Buy any item in my shop and receive an unmounted photograph 'of equal or lesser value' for FREE. ChickRocks home page update!

I finally got around to updating my homepage with important 'Art Fair' dates. If you are in San Antonio during Fiesta stop by the Fiesta Arts Fair or the King William's Fair. I'll be at both of them as a photography and jewelry artist.

Fiesta Arts Fair on April 18-19th at the Southwest School of Arts & Crafts located on 300 Augusta St. in San Antonio. This fair was ranked #7 last year in the whole country for ‘America’s top 10 art fairs and festivals’. Look for me under ‘Marianna Urrutia’.

King William’s Fair on April 25th in the beautiful historic King William’s neighborhood in San Antonio. Look for me under ‘ChickRocks’.
